Stage 2

· Company History

Stage 2 ECU CalibrationA Stage 2 remap is an advanced ECU recalibration developed for vehicles with improved airflow and efficiency. It optimises key control strategies—including boost pressure, fuel delivery, ignition timing, and torque modelling—to maximise performance beyond stock limitations.

Typically supported by upgrades such as:

High-flow exhaust systems (downpipe/decat)

Upgraded intercooler

Performance intake systems

However, on certain vehicles—particularly those not equipped with restrictive catalytic converters or DPF systems, and already featuring efficient OEM intake and exhaust designs—additional hardware modifications may not be required to achieve Stage 2-level performance.

All calibrations are developed within safe operating parameters and component tolerances, utilising real-time data logging and analysis to ensure accuracy, reliability, and component protection.

It is important to note: reduced fuel demand does not always directly translate to better fuel economy. In some applications, a well-developed Stage 2 calibration can deliver improved fuel efficiency under conservative driving conditions, as increased torque allows the engine to operate more efficiently with less load and lower throttle input—where fundamental engine efficiency and load dynamics (physics) play a key role.

The result is significant gains in power, torque, and throttle response, with the potential for improved fuel economy when driven correctly.
